This Cookie Policy explains how HQ28 d.o.o. (“HQ28”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.drinkhq28.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
01. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and software development kits (collectively referred to as “cookies” in this policy). They allow a site to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your language preference, shopping cart contents, or how you use the site.
02. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for core site functions such as loading pages, cart, checkout, security, load balancing and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent.
- Functional / preference — remember choices you make (language, region, saved products) to improve your experience.
- Analytics / performance — help us understand how visitors use the Website (pages viewed, referring source, on-site behaviour) so we can improve it. We may use aggregated or pseudonymised data.
- Marketing / advertising — used by us and our partners to measure campaign performance, deliver relevant ads on other sites (remarketing), and limit ad frequency.
03. Typical cookies and lifetimes
| Provider | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |

| HQ28 (first-party) | Cart, session, consent state | Strictly necessary | Session – 12 months |

Exact cookie names and lifetimes may change as providers update their products. This list reflects the categories active at the time of the last update.
04. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and do not require consent.
All other cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) are set only after your explicit consent via our cookie banner (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive as transposed in Slovenia).
05. Managing your choices
When you first visit the Website you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or open the settings panel to make a granular choice per category.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Website, including checkout.
06. Third-party providers
Some cookies are set by third parties acting as independent controllers or joint controllers with us. These providers may combine data with information they hold from other services. Their processing is governed by their own privacy notices, including:
- Shopify — shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Stripe — stripe.com/privacy
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta — facebook.com/privacy/policy
07. International transfers
Some cookie providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where such transfers occur, we rely on European Commission adequacy decisions and/or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate supplementary measures.
08. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our cookie banner is the primary way to express your choices. Where a browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to reject non-essential cookies by default.
09. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website with an updated “Last updated” date.
